I’ve had a few comments and e-mails asking for information about where to buy the sew-in coin purse frames.
The half-circle frames I used for most of my coin purses I bought at Quilt-A-Bag in Markham, ON.
The last time I was at Red Hen Fabrics in Atlanta, they had several different sizes and styles of purse frames, so if you’re in that area, perhaps give them a call to see if they are still stocking them.
The 3” rectangular frame that I used for the pattern provided for the UR Priceless Blog Hop came from Joann Fabric and Craft Stores in the US. Look for packages like this in their bag making supply section:
If you search etsy and ebay, you’ll also find several shops selling frames. The majority of these shops ship from China but you will find other sellers as well.
For instance, Sugar Carousel is based in Toronto, ON. (I haven’t purchased from them yet, but I did get a quick response when I made an inquiry about one of their frames.)
Annabella044 on ebay has several frames listed and ships from the UK.
And those are just two examples of the many, many on-line shops selling the sew-in coin purse frames.
So there’s a starter list for anyone wanting to make one or a few coin purses.
If any of my readers know of other coin purse frame resources, please mention it in the comments and I’ll add them to the list.
Just a quick reminder, if you haven’t already done so, don’t forget to enter the giveaways for the coin purses I posted last Tuesday.
Two coin purses turned sewing kits are being given away right here on my blog and one coin purse and a kit with everything needed to make your own coin purse are being given away over on Super Mom – No Capes! Facebook page. Go here for the details on how and where to enter.
The giveaways close at midnight EST on November 13th and I will draw and announce the winners on November 14th.
