Tips & Tricks Tuesday – Easily Clean up a Dropped Egg

This morning while getting out the eggs to make breakfast, I dropped one.

Broken egg on the floor

Cleaning up a broken egg can be a slimy, messy job.   But it doesn’t have to be.

Simply sprinkle the broken egg with a generous amount of salt.

Let it sit for 5 minutes or so to allow the salt to be absorbed and the egg to congeal.

Then clean it up with paper towel.

Wipe the floor with a damp cloth to clean up any leftover salt.
