Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve had a chance to work on the final four blocks for the In Our Garden BOM 2016.
Jan from Sew and Sow Farm designed December’s blocks.
Block 21 was her beautiful pieced block that I have made in blue and white fabrics:
I absolutely love how this block turned out. It’s such a lovely addition to the other blue and white blocks I’ve made over the course of this Block of the Month.
Jan’s appliqué block was so much fun to choose fabrics for:
I had even more fun adding the hand stitched details!
That boot just had to have laces.
The bunny’s tail was done in french knots placed right next to each other. And the appliqué fabric carrot top in Jan’s version was replaced with an embroidered top.
Here are the two blocks side by side:
Thank you, Jan for two great blocks to add to the other fun and creative blocks that have been shared.
You can find out how to get Jan’s blocks in this post on her blog.
There are only two blocks left for the In Our Garden BOM. I’m almost finished the hand-stitching on January’s appliqué block. I hope to have it finished and ready to share with you by the end of next week.
Amy from Sew Incredibly Crazy is hosting a new Block of the Month called Sun, Sand and Sea. I won’t be taking part as a designer this year as I have my own Block of the Month in the works but I do hope you’ll pop over and check it out. The first block is up on her blog and like last year, will be free until the end of February.
