Dragonfly Coin Purse Finally Finished

Way back in September of last year, I made this little fabric coin purse.

You can read more about it here.

But I only had one coin purse frame and that frame had been purchased to make the purse pictured below.

I was hoping that I’d find a purple frame to use for the dragonfly one, but I wasn’t able to.

So this spring when I was at the CreativFestival, I bought a gold frame from the Quilt A Bag booth.  But a week or so later when I went looking for the frame to sew it onto the purse… search though we did (I recruited Dave’s help), we couldn’t find it anywhere.

Then the other day, we had some business not too far from the Quilt A Bag shop in Markham and so I stopped in and bought another frame.  Then as soon as we got finished with our errands, I sat down and sewed that frame onto the dragonfly purse.  It had waited long enough to be finished.

How absolutely gorgeous is this? My daughter loves dragonflies. Better not show her this purse. Beautiful work. hugs Sharon, South Africa

I love your dragonfly purse. I have never done one with the frame attached, but it really looks great. I’m glad you managed to get another frame for it.

How lovely! I love both of these and like Sandra, I’ve been too afraid to try!

I’d like to formally request a class on how to do those little frames – I have one (or two?) downstairs but I’ve been too nervous to try them! Maybe we can have a hen party soon – I don’t think Nancy has tried the bag either!

That would be loads of fun. They really do go together quickly, you just have to use lots of pins around the curves.
