Vintage Embroidery Monday – Bear in Pajamas and Nightcap

Embroidery patterns geared towards little boys are hard to come by so it was super fun to find three such patterns on Workbasket Pattern Sheet 85.

Wouldn’t today’s Bear in Pajamas and Nightcap be cute embroidered on a pajama bag for your favourite little man.

Or perhaps make a bear softie to snuggle with under the covers.  It would be simple enough to do.  Embroider the bear, place the finished embroidery right side down on a backing fabric, carefully sew around the bear 3/8″ away from outer embroidery stitches leaving an opening for stuffing. Trim the seam allowance to 1/4″.  Turn, stuff and then stitch the opening closed.

Next week, I’ll be sharing a puppy pulling a toy duck and the week following that will be a rabbit gardening.  So if you have a little boy in your life that you’ve been looking for embroidery patterns for, be sure to come back to download those.

I would be so pleased if you chose to share by clicking on one of the buttons below!
