Crocheted Seed Stitch Dishcloth Pattern

Crocheted Seed Stitch Dishcloth Pattern

When I decided to write up and share my Knitted Seed Stitch Dishcloths, I got to wondering if there was a crocheted version of seed stitch so I could make a crocheted seed stitch dishcloth pattern to share with those of you who either don’t knit or who simply prefer to crochet.

After a quick search I discovered that there was. As you can see from this side by side comparison with the knitted seed stitch on the left (blue) and the crocheted seed stitch on the right (green,) they aren’t exactly alike but there’s a certain similarity.

And the good news… if you like quick projects, the crocheted version works up a whole lot faster than the knit version!

In fact, I’ve already made 4 of them!

Here are the first three:

Crocheted Seed Stitch Dishcloth Pattern - three finished dishcloths

The one on the left (bottom) was made using Coats Creme de la Creme Greentones

The middle one is Creme de la Creme Brite Green

Coats Creme de la Creme Lime Ombre was used for the one on the right (top.)

For this 4th crocheted seed stitch dishcloth, I used the leftover Brite Green and Greentones.

3 rows of the Greentones, 32 rows of Brite Green, 3 rows of Greentones. The shell edge also worked in the Greentones.
