WIP Wednesday – Laundry Bags

Just a quick post to show you what I’m working on today:

The travel laundry bags we’ve been using for the past several years were getting to the point where they could no longer be repaired. So a few weeks ago, I picked up two heavy white cotton sheets at a local thrift store to make new laundry bags.

I decided to jazz them up a bit with some appliquéd letters. I used fusible web to iron the letters onto the bags and the next step is to sew around them. I’m going to try out some of the decorative stitches on our middle daughter’s newer Singer sewing machine.

Click on the links below to be taken to the tutorial for the laundry bags.

I love this idea and look forward to seeing the finished product… found you from so many ways and love the craftsman ship you attained in the gifts you made for her! Love all the stuff she showed on her blog! Thanks for helping to lift my spirits today and I look forward to following your blog from now on 🙂 Kathi

I need to make a travel laundry bag for D and I — we tend to use a plastic bag hanging from a doorknob, LOL!
