I have had some really fun giveaway wins this month!
First was this gorgeous fabric panel that I won in a giveaway that Mary over at Needled Mom held during the Tree Bird Blog Hop.
The panel is from the Beautiful Birds line of fabric by Tracy Lizotte for Elizabeth’s Studio and was the inspiration fabric for the blog hop.
Mary made some lovely things with the inspiration fabric, if you didn’t have a chance to visit her blog during the hop, I do hope you’ll stop by today and have a look around. (My favorite is the little fabric bird house she created.)
I wasn’t able to find the inspiration fabric to make something for my day of the hop but now thanks to this win, I will be able to have fun creating something with it. Thank you, Mary!
And then last Tuesday, I received an e-mail from Leanne from She Can Quilt saying that I had been selected to win the $30 Gift Certificate from Mad About Patchwork in the April Scraptastic Tuesday Link Up.
I had so much fun browsing through Mad About Patchwork’s shop. There are hundreds of lovely fabrics to choose from but the moment I saw the typewriter fabric that I’ve been wanting, it didn’t take me long to complete my order.
And talk about fast service! I ordered on Thursday and the package arrived yesterday (Monday.)
I bought a yard of Typewriter and a fq of Study Hall (the pencils). Both fabrics are from the Black and White Collection by Cotton + Steel.
I also bought a yard of Kona Ash hoping that it would be a match for the grey in the other fabrics. It was close but not quite close enough of a match. Not to worry though… I already have plans to use the Kona Ash in another project.
Thank you so much Leann! And thanks as well to Pam at Mad About Patchwork!
The Typewriter and Study Hall fabric will be used to make myself a new tote with matching accessories to take to writers’ meetings. Could there be any more perfect fabric for a writer to carry her writing around in!!!
And if all this wasn’t enough, last night I received a phone call that I had won a $47 gift certificate from Fabricland in a drawing that was held at the close of their 47th Anniversary Celebrations Sale.
Yes… before any one asks, I have gone out and purchased a Lotto 649 ticket… lol!!
