You can see the signs everywhere. Back-to-school sales, kids starting school in some areas and I’m sure you won’t be shocked when I tell you that there’s even Halloween decor in the stores already.
As much as I’m enjoying the warm summer days, it won’t be long before we start feeling that nip in the air that heralds the coming of fall.
In a few short months, we’ll find ourselves in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
For most of us, it’s the most expensive time of the year. But if we don’t start planning and saving for it now, it will be all too tempting to put those expenses on our credit cards.
If you’ve visited my blog before, you know that I love Christmas. I love sharing tutorials for projects to sew, embroidery, quilt and craft. I also love sharing recipes for delicious meals and treats to make to fill the house with the smell of home baking.
And while Santa and his elves may very well be busy year round making toys for all the good little girls and boys, we all know that it’s us down here in the southern division that actually do all the planning, organizing and making for the entire holiday season.
Wouldn’t you love to have help with all that?
For a little over 3 months now, I’ve been working hard to create just such a space.
Today, I’m proud to announce my new membership site… Handmade Homemade Holidays: Your Guide to a Debt Free Stress Free Christmas!
Upon joining, you’ll be given access to a digital Christmas Planner exclusively designed and available only to members. Along with it, you’ll receive a step-by-step instruction guide to help you create a spending and savings plan suited to you and your family’s needs.
By planning and saving ahead, the temptation to put holiday expenses on your credit card will be eliminated because the money will be there when you need it.
Then each month after that, you’ll receive 1 or 2 more worksheets to add to your planner to help you plan ahead for your holiday meals, parties and for the big day itself.
I’ve already printed mine out and added the worksheets to a binder.
As well, each month, you’ll receive patterns and projects for handmade gifts and holiday decor.
The theme for August is stockings!
You’ll receive the pattern to make a Cuffed Stocking like the one pictured below.
It’s a step-by-step pattern with lots of photos just like the tutorials you’ll find here on the blog. If you’ve got down the basic of sewing, you’ll be able to make one or more to give as gifts or to hang up for Santa to fill.
Here’s another one of those Cuffed Stockings done up in the cutest penguin fabric.
In addition to the Cuffed Stocking pattern, you’ll also receive the pattern for this gorgeous embroidered stocking.
The intricate swirls may have you thinking that it’s challenging to make but it uses only the basic embroidery stitches… backstitch, straight stitch and a tiny bit of satin stitch.
If embroidering a whole stocking seems too daunting, as you can see below, it’s stunning with only the cuff embroidered.
By now you may be wondering how much this is going to cost.
Because we’re just getting started, I’m inviting you to join me as a Founding member.
As such, I’m offering special Founding members pricing of $14.95 USD per month or $149.50 for annual (that’s 2 months free!)
Edited to add:
Susan asked a question in the comments about pricing that made me realized I’d forgotten to mention this next part.
Founding member’s prices never go up. So if you sign up at $14.95 per month, that’s the price you’ll pay for as long as you’re a member.
If you were to decide to go with the annual option, the price will always be $149.50 per year again for as long as you’re a member.
That’s one of the perks of being a Founding member… your price never goes up.
Now if you were to cancel your membership (which you’re free to do at any time) and then rejoin in the future, you’d need to pay whatever the price is at that time.
But you should know that Founding member pricing will only be available for the next few days.
Enrollment runs from today August 9th until it closes at 11:59 EDT, Monday, August 12th.
After that the membership won’t be open to the public again until January 25th, 2020 and at that time the price will be higher.
If you’re interested in joining me as we create a debt free, stress free Christmas by planning and saving ahead and hand making gifts and holiday decor, then click on the link below to be taken to the sign up page.
Oh and I’ve got some really cool bonuses you’ll be receiving as well.
Within the first day or two of your membership, you’ll receive an ebook containing 40 pages of embroidery patterns… all the vintage Christmas Workbasket embroidery patterns that I’ve posted here on the blog over the past several years.
They’ve all been compiled in one document for you to download and keep.
As well, members will enjoy 10% off any pattern in my new pattern shop for as long as they are members.
And if that wasn’t enough, at the beginning of November, I’ll be releasing one more big bonus. But I’m going to keep that a secret for now. But it’s something readers of Super Mom – No Cape have been asking for for quite a while now.
Last but not least, there’s the private members only Facebook group where we can share our holiday preps in a community of like minded people.
I hope you’ll join me inside the membership!
