New Variation of Prosperity Angel

I was shopping recently in the neatest independent craft and fabric shop (more in a future blog post) and mixed in the bin with the other balls of crochet thread was a ball of Aunt Lydia’s Metallic Crochet Thread in Natural/Gold. The ripened wheat colour of the main thread with the gold metallic thread wrapped around it fit perfectly with the symbolism worked into my Prosperity Angels and I just had to make one.

Last week, I got it crocheted, starched and pinned and this weekend I took photos of it in different lighting to get a picture of it to share with all of you.

Both photos were taken outside.

For this first one, we covered a picnic table with some green felt and then propped the angel up against a basket of greenery.

This second photo is the same angel taken with the angel propped up on the railing of the little porch out back just as the sun was setting.

I really love how this new Prosperity Angel turned out and plan to make a few more as gifts.

Note: The pattern can be purchased through my shop or if you are a member of Ravelry through Ravelry.com.

Very appropos that a *prosperity* angel should be adorned with lovely gold thread — she’s lovely 🙂
